Glamping from Adventures on the Gorge returns for the second season at West Virginia’s New River Gorge National Park. The Chestnut Ridge campground opened last summer and prepares for its second summer.

The glamping tents are 16 by 20 feet and sit on concrete pads. Each tent boasts two queen-sized beds, bedside tables, a dresser, dining table, refrigerator, coffeemaker, heating, air conditioning, lights and WiFi. The sites feature a fire pit, picnic table and grills outside of the tents. The glamping site is situated in a wooded area, providing natural privacy. There is a centrally located bathhouse featuring six individual bathroom and shower stalls, two toilet-and-sink-only stalls, as well as three washer and dryer sets. Outdoor dishwashing sinks are also available.

“Our cautious optimism last year was quickly replaced by a firm confirmation as the glamping tents were immediately quite popular with our guests,” said Roger Wilson, CEO, Adventures on the Gorge. “People love the combination of tent camping and luxurious touches as well as packing a suitcase instead of a trunk full of gear.”
Guests can choose from group or single tent sites, perfect for couples or groups. Camping and RV sites are also available. Glamping opens for the season May 26.
