When it comes to food packaging, most options aren’t exactly environmentally friendly.
In fact, there are many organizations dedicated to campaigning against the use of superfluous food packaging. With increased environmental awareness among millennials, it was only a question of time before someone came up with a solution.
The GreenTraveler container is a reusable, travel-friendly container that means you don’t have to use disposable plastic packaging. The container is similar in shape to a thermos flask, with several internal sections separated by dividers.
You can use it to carry a whole meal, or take leftovers away from a restaurant to reduce food waste. The larger middle sections can hold bulkier items or even fully prepared meals, while the smaller end pieces can save fruit from bruising.
GreenTraveler also makes accessories that add even greater functionality to the food container. You can add an insulated pouch, which keeps food hot or cold for longer, and a specially designed utensil for easy eating on the move.
The container is fully dishwasher safe and can be used to transport food and drink. If you want to take proper food with you on a day hike or cycle ride, the GreenTraveler is the perfect solution. Keep ingredients separate before you want to eat in order to stop your lunch getting soggy, or take savory and sweet foods for a complete meal.
GreenTraveler will be shipping its food containers in January 2017 following a successful Kickstarter campaign. A pack of two containers will retail for $98.
