Trends / Adventure

Hong Kong’s Ocean Park is throwing a massive summer festival through Sept. 2. Ocean Park is a marine mammal park, oceanrium, animal theme park and amusement park. It is the world’s 13th-most visited theme park and covers an area of 226 acres. The park includes roller coasters, animal exhibits and the world’s largest aquarium dome.

The fiesta features a parade and performances by international artists. The festival is named Carnimal because it’s animal themed, meaning many of the dancers are dressed to look like animals. All animals are represented in the theme, from marine life to wildlife and birds and giant animal puppets.

This festival is a never-ending celebration for the guests and will delight visitors. The performers put on shows around the park, including a cultural variety showcase at the Applause Pavilion and synchronized swimmers at Ocean Theatre. The show at the Applause Pavilion includes drums and performers doing difficult tricks in a South American style. The synchronized swimmers are a team from Canada that performs elegant water ballet.

The fun doesn’t stop there, with a whole new Caribbean Summer Parade and Caribbean Summer Night Parade. This parade includes tailor-made costumes and performances that take place day and night.
