Traditional hotel uniforms are going back into the closet, as properties across the United States are revamping uniforms for millennials in order cater to their desire to dress in a way that makes them feel comfortable and stylish as well as like themselves at work. Forget non-traditional hospitality wear; hotels are thinking outside the box with fashion-forward suits and chic beachwear.

Uniforms for men at the JW Marriott Grand Rapids are as sleek as the hotel’s interior. Based on feedback from millennial travelers, the downtown property outfits the male staff with fashionable suits featuring colored pocket squares. The polished look was designed to reflect the sophisticated yet unpretentious nature of the hotel.

Hilton West Palm Beach channeled the “Palm Beach Chic” look and pulled inspiration from sleek New York bars for its latest uniform styles. Valet staff don all-black Shell Top Adidas while bartenders show off stylish leather vests and baristas wear trendy flat caps.

W South Beach embraced the signature sex appeal of South Beach with its latest revamped look, featuring an exclusive collection of designed sunnies by Garrett Leight. Female staff on the WET deck rock chic uniforms from popular Miami brand Wet & Sea while gentlemen wear WET-branded New Era caps.

On the East Coast, Hotel Indigo New York – Lower East Side teamed up with TopHat to create fashionable and trendy uniforms inspired by the local flavor of the neighborhood for every member of staff, from afternoon baristas to engineers.
