Havana is a vibrant city with no shortage of sites to see and places to visit or eat. Here are some of the best spots to visit for a fun time in the city.
Old Havana
Old Havana is the pillar of the city. The UNESCO World Heritage site is shrouded in Baroque and Neoclassical buildings and exploring here could take days on its own. You don’t want to miss out on the rich history of this city.
The Malecon
The Malecón is Havana’s boardwalk and provides hours of beautiful sunset walks and sights to see. Stroll along the shoreline and take in all of the tiny shops and restaurants the area has to offer.
Fusterlandia
Fusterlandia is located just outside of the city, but is worth the trip. It’s full of wonderful artwork throughout. Walk the town and check out the unique paintings, sculptures and mosaics of the guy affectionately known as “The Picasso of the Caribbean.”
Miramar
If you want a taste of how the rich folk live in Havana, you’ll need to take a trip to Miramar. The area is entirely upscale, meaning you’d better bring along some pretty large wads of cash if you want to buy trinkets or even eat here. The houses are quite a sight to see, too.
Playas del Este
You can’t visit Havana without hitting the beach. The Playas del Este is lined for miles with sun-kissed bodies and palm trees jutting up from the sandy shores. Throw on that bathing suit and spend some time hitting the waves.
