Tips / Travel

During your travels you might find yourself in a country where the law, or simply cultural traditions, require you to don a hijab. Wearing one doesn’t have to be a chore, or boring, if you’re a fashion-conscious traveler.

Pair With Jeans

A hijab can actually look incredibly stylish paired with jeans and sneakers, believe it or not. Simply find one that matches your outfit and tie it close to your neck, rather than letting it drape across your chest.

Tuck It In

Rather than letting the hijab hang loosely in front of your shirt or blouse, consider tucking it in. If you’re wearing a light jacket this is a great way to create a chic look when you’re out on the town.

Wear Baggy Pants

Rather than sticking to a traditional dress when sporting a hijab, trying slipping on some baggy pants. It’ll match the flowing design of the hijab to help create a more cohesive look. Matching the color of the hijab with your pants is a great touch.

Find a Matching Abaya

Traditional clothing doesn’t have to be drab. For proof, look no further than the abaya. This flowing dress is beautiful when worn in dual colors that match your hijab. Brighten things up to help yourself stand out from the crowd.
