Hyatt Centric Ups its Food Game

Hyatt’s lifestyle brand, Hyatt Centric, announced the expansion of its collaboration with GrubHub from three hotels to nine in the United States.

The decision to expand came after positive feedback from a pilot program introduced last year and designed for the millennial-minded traveler. Guests at participating Hyatt Centric hotels across the country can now order room service from local restaurants by using a customized landing page on the hotel’s website or through the website found in guestroom information folders or on keycard inserts provided at check-in.

Piloted in April 2016, the program was born out of Hyatt Centric’s desire to streamline the hotel guest experience. The program reinvents traditional room service, allowing guests to experience the best local cuisine in the comfort of their rooms.

“We decided to work with Grubhub because we know the Hyatt Centric guest wants a choice in dining options, especially when it comes to experiencing local cuisine,” said Sandra Cordova Micek, senior vice president, Hyatt. “Based on the successes of the pilot, the decision to expand the relationship will allow for more guests to explore their destinations with added convenience and ease while staying in the middle of the action.”

The program is now available in Long Beach, Calif.; Miami, Fla.; Park City, Utah; New York, N.Y.; Chicago, Ill.; San Francisco, Calif.; New Orleans, La.; Arlington, Va.; and The Woodlands, near Houston.
