Jumeirah Carlton Tower’s A Taste of Diwali is an immersive culinary journey celebrating the vibrant flavors and stories of South Asia. This year’s second edition of the A Taste of Diwali series will transform The Chinoiserie Bar into a destination for contemporary Indian cuisine from five renowned chefs of South Asian heritage and executive chef Mario Perera. Each will contribute a signature dish inspired by their culinary journey and history.
Joining Chef Perera are Martin Haidar, executive pastry chef, Jumeirah Carlton Tower; Cyrus Rustom Todiwala, OBE DL, Café Spice Namasté; Asma Khan, founder, Darjeeling Express; Dipna Anand, co-owner, Brilliant Gastro; and Sameer Taneja, executive head chef, Michelin-starred Benares in London’s Mayfair.
A Taste of Diwali promises a refined interpretation of India’s rich culinary landscape. Guests can choose from a limited-edition tasting menu or an à la carte selection featuring five signature dishes and bespoke cocktails.
Beyond the cuisine, a beautifully curated tablescape inspired by contemporary Indian design sets the tone for the culinary journey. A Taste of Diwali will take place at The Chinoiserie Bar at Jumeirah Carlton Tower Oct. 16–Nov. 8. The residency culminates in a special Diwali celebration on the final evening.
