There are few things more dynamic than the beloved spork. It’s a fork! It’s a spoon! Now, it’s even a knife. The good folks at KA-BAR found a way to make the world’s most unassuming utensil double as a weapon for self-defense or just a way to slice up a juicy steak in a pinch.
The KA-BAR Tactical Spork is made of Grilamid FWA, a high-quality technical polymer that’s scratch resistant and able to cut through the toughest objects out there. The knife is cleverly hidden in the handle and accessed by twisting the spoon/fork combo and the handle.
Is it practical? Probably not, but it’s still pretty darn cool. There are plenty of reasons this baby might come in handy on a trip overseas. Suppose you find yourself kidnapped and tied to a chair by nefarious Russians looking for a quick ransom (What? It happens). Nobody would suspect you could free yourself with that spork in your back pocket.
It also probably works well if you enjoy camping while you travel; cooking in the backcountry is a cinch with this tool on hand. Whatever your reasoning, this nifty little contraption is at least fun to play with if nothing else. It would make a great, goofy gift for one of your travel buddies or just work as something great to have on hand at home.
