Le Millesime Restaurant in Nice is a little off the beaten path, but well worth the walk it takes to get there. This upscale establishment features a semi-gastronomic menu that features rotating seasonal options, along with a few staples. The atmosphere itself is incredibly relaxing and the option to sit outside on the patio is fantastic in the warmer months.
I ordered the truffled risotto for my meal and was not disappointed. The rice was cooked to perfection and the flavors were excellent. For dessert I sampled the French toast with honey rotie figs and fig ice cream. Absolutely phenomenal! The ice cream was homemade and prepared on site, always a plus. The food was somewhat pricey, but on par with similar restaurants in the region and certainly fair.
The staff here is friendly, though it seems as if only one waiter is working at a time. While ours was efficient and did a wonderful job, it’s important to know you shouldn’t go in expecting a quick meal.
In all, I found Le Millesime to be a delightful and scrumptious experience I would be delighted to try again. I certainly recommend it to anyone visiting Nice and in need of a great meal.
