Have you always envisioned yourself becoming a Kung Fu master? Well, there’s no better place to get started than in the land where the ancient form of martial arts is most famous — China.
Fight, Camp, Travel offers a hands-on intensive training program designed to help foreigners master the art of Kung Fu in its native land. They train in nine different disciplines across four different styles, including Northern, Southern, Internal and External. You can choose from disciplines like Shaolin Kung Fu, Jiu-Jitsu, Yong Chun and White Crane Fist.
Training sessions last for six hours each day, so this isn’t for the faint of heart. After your training is done for the day, you can choose to participate in optional courses in Mandarin or traditional calligraphy to expand your knowledge of Chinese culture and martial arts.
The training takes place in the Taining, outside the city of Sanming, surrounded by many Buddhist and Taoist temples as well as lush forests of bamboo and wildlife.
The program includes accommodation at the lodge, three meals a day, airport pick-up and even Internet access so you can update your friends on Facebook on your progress to becoming the next Bruce Lee.
During your downtime, you can explore local sites like The Golden Lake, E Mei Mountain and the surrounding canyons. It’s a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience to explore a new culture while also learning how to kick a little butt while you’re at it.
