In July, I attended the annual Global Business Travel Association convention and had the pleasure of staying at The Lenox Hotel in Downtown Boston.

Built in 1900 in Boston’s Back Bay, The Lenox Hotel boasts a long, rich history in the city, which guests feel the moment they enter the hotel.

While the guestrooms could do with a little more space, they were beautifully decorated and comfortable. Every detail, from the elaborate carpeting and furniture to the plush bedding, was a nod to the hotel’s history. The rooms also featured large TVs, luxurious pillow-top bedding and spacious work areas. The bathrooms were on the smaller side, with limited counter space, but the Beekman 1802 bath products were wonderful, and the Italian marble was beautiful.

One of my favorite things about the hotel, aside from its historic charm, was its service. From 24/7 room service and replacing room keys to fulfilling direction requests to the nearest pizza place and helping hail cabs and Ubers, they were extremely accommodating throughout my stay.

Before heading out to dinner one night, I enjoyed a cocktail at the hotel’s chic, lobby venue, City Bar — a beautiful space with a large wood bar and plush seating. For breakfast, we ate at the hotel’s restaurant, City Table, a casual eatery proudly serving dishes made with local ingredients and herbs grown at the hotel’s rooftop garden.

The hotel is a perfect blend of historic and modern. The rooms and public areas maintain the hotel’s traditional charm, architecture and décor, while the restaurants, amenities and services are designed for the modern traveler. The hotel is also perfectly located in the heart of Boston’s Back Bay, just one block from Copley Square and less than three miles from Boston Logan International.
