Forget about carrying a bulky lantern or flashlight on your next camping trip; get the Luminoodle instead. The flexible, waterproof lights uses LED wrapped in silicone to provide a hanging lantern everywhere you go.

The Luminoodle is designed to wrap around virtually anything, from tree branches to poles to the rearview mirror of your car.

The light is USB-powered and contains embedded magnets, a lantern bag and a utility loop to make carrying it around simple and worry-free. Plus, it’ll save you a little room in your backpack since it hangs nicely from a loop.

The silicone strip is 60 inches long and produces 180 lumens of light, enough to brighten any campsite. It can even sit in three feet of water for up to 30 minutes without the lights getting wet.

If you hang the strip while in its carrying bag it turns into a makeshift lantern you can carry with you as you walk on a night hike.

The Luminoodle isn’t available yet, but you can sign up for notifications on Power Practical’s website so you’ll be one of the first to know when it’s ready to purchase. It might make a wonderful gift for the holidays for the camper in your life.
