Streema, Inc., a radio listening service on the Web, is simplifying the radio-listening experience on mobile devices, as well. Simple Radio iOS app, now available in the App Store, features more than 25,000 radio stations from virtually every country in the world, including music and talk genres.
A study from Edison Research and Triton Digital reports 47 percent of all Americans older than age 12, about 124 million people, have listened to online radio in the last month, with 94 million (36 percent) in the last week. Streema connects local AM/FM radio stations with more than 5 million monthly users.
The app’s clean user interface allows for one-tap access to a user’s favorite station. Simple Radio utilizes the recently introduces iOS8 and OS X Yosemite feature, Handoff, allowing users to seamlessly listen to their favorite stations across devices. iPad and Android apps are coming soon.
