Nothing puts a downer on a trip into the great outdoors than losing your stuff.L When you are traveling, being away from home only complicates the process of getting things back to normal in the event of theft.

LocTote developed a drawstring backpack that promises to ease the worry. The company promises you can lock and leave its drawstring bag, safe in the knowledge no one will be able to get into it and take your valuables.

Thanks to a secure locking system and cut-and-slash-resistant fabrics, you won’t have to worry about thieves making off with your things while you are taking a swim at the beach. According to the bag’s Kickstarter campaign, the bag is “essentially a portable safe.”

This is a particularly intriguing idea for solo travelers who may have previously been paranoid about things going missing while they are in the water or otherwise away from their belongings. Due to the use of industrial strength materials and a clever lock that fixes the bag to lamp posts or other immovable objects, the LocTote will put your mind at rest.

The bag is available in either grey or orange, and is expected to retail at $229, following a successful Kickstarter campaign. The first examples are already being shipped to customers, and you can pre-order yours from the ongoing Indiegogo campaign.
