Losing track of family and friends while traveling is a common problem. With LynQ you’ll never get separated at a festival again. This smart tracker allows you to easily locate your group in a crowd and is an excellent tool for finding friends and kids.

LynQ is being marketed as a smart compass for the 21st century. It relies on a combination of GPS and long-range, low power radio frequencies to track your positions. No cell network required here. That means that, even in a cellphone dead zone, you’ll be able to keep track of each other. The device also gives you the ability to set up safe zones that’ll trigger LynQ to vibrate and ring if someone steps out of it, along with designated meet-up points for when you get separated. Anyone traveling with kids knows how handy that could be.

The one-button interface makes it simple enough small children can use it. LynQ is also incredibly durable. It’s made with rugged, military-approved materials and waterproof technology. It comes equipped with a carabiner so you can attach it to your waist and is able to track people for up to three miles. The battery stays charged for three days. Best of all, it can link up to 12 people at once so it’s great for large groups.

The LynQ Smart Tracker is expected to retail for $200 for a set of two. Estimated delivery begins in November and you can save money by helping to fund the project now. Check out the website for more information on features and ways to pre-order now.
