Minipresso From Wacaco

The next time you’re traveling far from the creature comforts of home and decide you want a fresh espresso, make sure you have the Minipresso by Wacaco by your side. Developed by an industrial designer looking for an on-the-go espresso shot dispenser, the Minipresso was a personal creative endeavor before Hong Kong-based Wacaco was formed as a start-up in 2014.

This small, lightweight, handheld espresso machine stands at around six inches and one pound and produces delicious shots of espresso in a matter of minutes. All you need to add is hot water and coffee. No electric is needed and the cap doubles as a cup, making this the perfect device for camping or hiking. The Minipresso does all of the work for you, applying 116 psi with a few pumps of the semi-automatic piston, producing an espresso at what Wacaco calls the perfect temperature of 152 degrees. The Minipresso has a year-long warranty and, while not dishwasher safe, can be easily cleaned with water and a dry cloth.

Wacaco offers two different options for the Minipresso. One uses any kind of ground coffee you prefer, while the other uses special coffee packets similar to Keurig K-Cups, produced by Caffitaly or Tchibo Cafissimo. Each Minipresso option is available for $49.
