The Mizingani Seafront Hotel is located just two blocks away from the Zanzibar Ferry Terminal and adjacent to many of the historical attractions of Stone Town, making it the perfect hotel for anyone in town for a few days. The Arabic influence in the hotel is striking and the restoration the building has gone through in recent years really helps exemplify its beauty. I was in awe of the décor of the building.
Aside from its prime location the hotel also offers plenty of amenities that make it worthwhile. The breakfast buffet is enormous, compared to most, and was definitely a highlight of my stay. However, they also have an in-house restaurant that served a pretty spectacular lunch menu, too. Outside they have a pool, while in the rooms your bed is equipped with the necessary mosquito net and a satellite TV. The internet wasn’t the fastest connection, but it was enough to do some minimal browsing.
The true crowning point of the hotel was the staff. They were incredibly friendly and helpful during my stay and were always happy to offer tips and suggestions on places to visit and restaurants to try. With the hotel within walking distance of the Forodhani Gardens and Palace Museum, it’s was the ideal place to stay.
I would definitely check in here again.
