Marie Kondo is a Japanese author and organizer. She believes the goal of tidying is to make for meaningful objects and experiences.

This series was well received by consumers. It follows Kondo as she helps her clients who wish to live a clutter-free life by getting rid of the things they don’t need. She employees a simple philosophy based on the idea of joy. Instead of trying to figure out how useful or how long since you’ve used an item, Kondo wants her clients to ask one simple question, “Does it spark joy?”

If yes, keep the item. If no, or if there is hesitation, the item goes. This is known as the KonMari Method. All books, clothes, household items, accessories and other personal items in your house are fair game with this method.
