If you have ever seen a jar of Nutella, you know it is part of a balanced breakfast. The company that makes Nutella, Ferrero, U.S.A., Inc., maintained for a long while Nutella, eaten on whole bread with a glass of orange juice was the perfect way to start anyone’s day.

They were taken to court over this and have since relented on this claim. And yet, many people still agree Nutella is a great companion for any meal. Luckily for them, there are people in the restaurant business that see things their way, too. The first American Nutella Café opened in Chicago last May and it has enjoyed a lot of success. People lined up out the door to try the delicacies created from this magical hazelnut spread.

Located at 151 N. Michigan Ave., this café is in a prime spot for tourists. Just a few blocks from Millennium Park and the famous sculpture “Cloud Gate,” affectionately known as “The Bean”, this café makes it easy to enjoy the architecture downtown as well as a Nutella-based treat.

The menu is not huge, but offers many things fans will enjoy such as Nutella croissants and grilled baguettes with Nutella. If this is not enough, there are also crepes, waffles and gelato. And if you are craving something savory, do not worry, there are plenty of non-Nutella-themed crepes, sandwiches and salads to choose from — you just will have to get your daily dose of Nutella health some other way.
