Pee Wee’s at the Point is one of those restaurants that pays equal attention to setting a mood as it does to serving appetizing plates. That’s probably why it’s consistently rated one of the top eateries in Darwin.
For starters, the location and décor of the restaurant are both stunning. Pee Wee’s is located harbor-side and offers spectacular views of the water and boats coming back into shore. The patio dining is beautiful, especially in the evening at sunset, and I would highly recommend reserving a seat. The atmosphere blends both casual and formal dining, at your choice.
The food was absolutely scrumptious. We opted for the buffalo carpaccio stuffed with truffle mushrooms for a starter and it did not disappoint. For the main dish, I sampled a bit of the lamb backstrap alongside my plate of pork belly. Both were mouthwatering and cooked to perfection. The prices of the menu are high, but the food coming out of the kitchen at Pee Wee’s is more than worth the hit to your wallet.
Finally, what Pee Wee’s really has going for it is the incredible staff. The servers here are friendly and courteous, and happy to offer advice when it comes to the extensive wine list. Whether you’re looking for a romantic evening near the water or just some place to chill with friends, Pee Wee’s at the Point will deliver.
