Now that winter is officially over, spring, summer and fall festivals will pop up in every neighborhood. This means street festivals, fresh local products and amazing food truck grub.
The food truck trend has really taken off in the last few years and the options are equivalent to amazing restaurants. Truck food no longer has the association as mediocre; the dishes coming out of the little windows are creative, fresh and of superb quality. You can get a chipotle aioli crab cake sandwich, homemade lavender honey ice cream, gourmet fish tacos, freshly made donuts and friend chicken; the list continues to grow as new trucks roll up.
Here are a few Philly festivals happening this year, so make sure you grab some friends and explore the local food truck Philly favorites.
April 9: ManayunkStrEAT Food Festival
June 10: Street Festival and Craft Fair
June 17: Penn’s Landing Beer Camp on Tour
Aug. 6: 2nd Street Festival in Northern Liberties Philadelphia
Fall Date TBD: The Night Market of Philadelphia
Another great trend is renting food trucks for private and corporate events. Many trucks are rented to host wedding receptions, birthday parties or even corporate holiday parties.
