Having your personal belongings or identity stolen is a major concern when in an unfamiliar city or bustling marketplace, even for seasoned travelers. Luckily, Clothing Arts developed apparel that may help keep your mind at ease while traveling.
Clothing Arts produced a line of wrinkle-free, quick-drying clothing supposedly “pickpocket proof.” Each item of clothing is equipped with zipped, secret pockets that will make it incredibly difficult for stealthy pickpockets to find your cash and credit cards (if they can even guess where they are hidden).
The clothing line appears to be mainly designed for men and is split between items geared toward business or adventure travelers. The business apparel available includes khaki-style nylon and cotton pants with nine pockets (five of which are hidden). The pants are also wrinkle-proof and water resistant, which will help keep you from looking disheveled after a long flight, especially if you are clumsy or traveling with little ones who are likely to spill.
The adventure apparel looks like standard gear pants you can find at most outdoor retailers, but has the added pickpocket protection of the business-style pants. They’re convertible and cargo pants have even more pockets, as these not need be business-friendly.
For women, Clothing Arts offers four items in varying colors. The Women’s Travel Pants are similar to the men’s business khaki-style pants, with an outer button in case you want to roll them up to wear as capris. They also offer a wrap skirt made out of the same material as the pants, which has less pockets, and is professional enough to be worn for business casual meetings. There is also a simple fabric belted dress and button down shirt made of a wrinkle-resistant material.
While you should never rely solely on zippers and Velcro to keep a pickpocket at bay, packing clothing with these added security measures may help keep your personal items safe while traveling.
