Weddings / Honeymoons

Skip the sandy beaches and go straight for the breathtaking fall foliage when planning your honeymoon.

The picturesque woodlands near Dunkeld, Scotland, have hosted such famous visitors throughout history as Queen Victoria and William Wordsworth, so it’s certainly good enough for you and your spouse. You’ll definitely want to visit Ossian’s Hall, which overlooks the Black Linn waterfall for a perfect photo op.

De Hoge Veluwe National Park, located almost right in the middle of the Netherlands, offers an amazing amount of history, wildlife, architecture and more. From hiking and cycling to dining and museums, the park offers something for every visitor, if you can make it out of your hotel room.

Füssen, a small town in the south of Germany, near the Austrian border, is home to two beautiful, fairytale castles — Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein — which only add to the breathtaking scenery. Tour the castles and their surrounding mountains and lakes for a both romantic and historic experience.

Kyoto is easily recognized as one of the most beautiful fall foliage destinations. Kyomizu-dera, a temple originating in the eighth century, is dedicated to the Buddhist Goddess of Mercy. Located in the eastern part of the city, on Otowa Mountain, the temple is a popular tourist attraction not to be missed, particularly in the fall.

Prague is a perfect city to visit in latter part of the year, when you can often find fewer crowds and milder temperatures. The foliage peaks in November and you’ll discover plenty of public parks with panoramic views, as well as nearby forests that are easily accessible via public transportation, perfect for a romantic stroll.
