Despite what some airline manufacturers say about the air in airplanes, it can be incredibly dry and dehydrating for every cell in the human body, especially the body’s largest organ: the skin. Equipping yourself with rehydrating tools and applying them regularly throughout the flight is the best strategy to combat dry skin that is a direct result of spending too much time in an arid plane cabin.
One product with which you can arm yourself before your next flight is a handy hand lotion trio from Kiehl’s. The skincare giant makes a Smooth Skin Delight pack that includes three of its classic hand creams: Grapefruit Richly Hydrating Hand Cream, Ultimate Strength Hand Salve and Lavender Richly Hydrating Hand Cream. The creams contain hydrating ingredients such as shea butter, Vitamin E and avocado oil, all of which nourish, moisturize and soften the skin.
Each lotion comes in a 2.5-ounce (75-milliliter) container, small enough to toss into your liquids bag and join you on the plane.
Buying these three creams separately would normally cost $46, but buying the pack of three only costs $35 and can be purchased on Kiehl’s website or at participating stores.
