The Puffy Kachula is the perfect solution for travelers who often find themselves using their coats as impromptu blankets on the beach. It’s a combination blanket and coat designed for the outdoors, so you can use it while soaking up some sun, camping in the forest or enjoying an outdoor concert.
The blanket is designed with a vapor-coated, durable, water-repellant finish so water and other liquids slide right off, making it useful on a damp or rainy day. Since Coalatree wanted it to be as versatile as possible they also included an integrated snap system that allows you to connect multiple Puffy Kachulas together to create one ginormous place to sleep. It also folds over and snaps together to create an instant sleeping bag. They even threw in webbing that can be used to stake it into the ground.
When you’re not sitting on it, it easily converts into a comfy, cold-weather poncho in seconds. Inside a discreet pouch you’ll find a hood that unzips to cover your head and can also double as a pillow when tucked away. The Puffy Kachula also stuffs into its own pocket so the entire thing can be used as one large pillow while you’re waiting to board your plane.
Recycled ripstop nylon with Primaloft synthetic down fill make the blanket both durable and comfy while an array of available colors make it kind of fashionable, too.
The Puffy Kachula retails for $109 and is available now for pre-order, with shipping expected to begin in February or March.
