Finding last-minute travel lodging just got a lot easier with a free mobile app called RoomsTonite. This India-based app launched in June 2014, and features information and reservation capabilities for more than 1,000 hotels and inns in more than 175 cities. Available to download on iOS, Android, Windows and Blackberry devices, the app is ideal for impulsive travel and business trips.
Not only does a quick search reveal available hotel rooms in your selected destination, but the rates offered by RoomsTonite have already been discounted by up to 45 percent. The app is integrated with each hotel’s reservation system which reduces the chance for error in last-minute bookings.
RoomsTonite lets you see photos of the room, features of the hotel, a map of the hotel’s location, and the hotel’s terms and conditions. You can browse, book and pay all on your phone.
To improve their customer experience, RoomsTonite recently launched RoomsTonite Assist which is a 24/7 customer service feature that helps travelers during all stages of their trip. The service can be accessed by phone or e-mail.
Limitations of RoomsTonite include only being able to book up to three nights at once, and only being able to book for the same day as your search. So if it’s Thursday and you’re looking for a room beginning Friday, you will have to wait one day to book.
