While clean drinking water may be abundant in developed countries, other areas of the world are not as fortunate. This problem affects both travelers and the poverty-stricken individuals living in these regions. Luckily, the new Lifestraw has an answer to both problems. The Lifestraw is a portable water filter that can be used in conjunction with a water bottle, or by simply drinking right from a stream or pond. Additionally, when customers buy an individual Lifestraw, a child in a developing nation will provided one year’s worth of drinking water.
The Lifestraw ($19.95) can filter up to 1,000 liters of water in its lifetime, and kills more than 99.9 percent of bacteria and protozoa.
The Lifestraw Go ($34.95) uses the same instant-filtering Lifestraw technology of its predecessor, but features a clear, leak-proof tritan sports bottle design. Purchase of the Lifestraw Go includes a carabiner, a useful tool for backpacking and mountain climbing.
The Lifestraw Family ($74.95) is a larger, pitcher-shaped model that can process up to 18,000 liters in its lifetime.
The Lifestraw Mission (119.95) is the largest product in the collection, and features a bag-like design for easy storage in hiking packs.
