“Seabourn Quest” Receives Expansive Update

Seabourn Quest originally launched in 2011, so this is a ship that’s getting up there in age — but recent updates ensure this luxury, boutique cruise vessel is anything but outdated. In June, Seabourn wrapped up a drydock it described as the most comprehensive interior update it’s ever made to any of its ships.

“This drydock represents an investment that reflects our unwavering focus on elevating every aspect of the guest experience,” commented Mark Tamis, president, Seabourn. “Seabourn Quest has always had a loyal following, and we wanted to enhance the spaces where our guests spend their time on board, from the feel of their suite to the atmosphere of The Club in the evening, to ensure they have the best experience at sea when they sail on this beautiful ship.”

Public areas have been substantially overhauled. The Club has a new layout and speakeasy-style atmosphere. The pool deck is all new. Seabourn Square, The Observation Bar, The Spa, The Colonnade, the on-board shops — it’s all been reimagined.

Suites, likewise, underwent some updates, with new mattresses, furnishings and carpet.

“Our goal was to create spaces that feel natural, intuitive and effortlessly comfortable for guests,” said Linh Nguyen, senior manager, interior design and assets management, Seabourn. “Rather than referencing a single destination, the design takes a broader approach, using materiality and scale to shape spaces that feel balanced, familiar and easy to experience.”
