Luxury tour operator Extraordinary Journeys invites travelers to experience the wonders of Egypt with its Pyramids and Pharaohs tour. The 11-day itinerary includes visits to the country’s iconic landmarks and landscapes.
The trip begins with three nights at Marriott Mena House in Giza. While in Giza, travelers will take part in a walking tour of the pyramids and the Great Sphinx, a camel ride and a visit to the Egyptian Antiquities Museum. In Cairo, the tour makes stops at the Egyptian Museum, Khan el Khalili bazaar and the Mosque of Sultan Hassan. Days five through eight are spent leisurely exploring the Nile while en route to Luxor. Travelers will experience the sailing on a dahabiya, a small, traditional sailing boat. Stops along the journey include Aswan High Dam, the Philae Temple complex, Kom Ombo Temple and the Temple of Horus at Edfu. Travelers disembark in Luxor on day nine for an overnight stay at Sofitel Winter Palace Luxor. While in Luxor, travelers will visit the temple complex of Karnak, Luxor Temple, the Necropolis of Thebes and the Valley of the Kings. The trip ends on day 11 with a flight back to Cairo before departure to your final destination.
