With a polycarbonate hard-shell cover, this backpack promises to keep your stuff safe whatever you throw at it.
Use it for commuting, travel or professional trips thanks to understated styling, and you can be fully confident your fragile items won’t get damaged. With 35-liter capacity and separate compartments to keep your stuff organized, the Shield is great for a long weekend trip.
There is a compartment for your laptop, shoes and smaller items, plus an X-strap to keep your clothes in place. It opens all the way around the bag like a suitcase, so you can easily reach whatever you need, plus the chest belt and cushioned straps ensure comfort.
To add even more functionality you can add different sets of pouches, including a special compartment for camera equipment. There is also a rain cover sold separately.
Even though it’s a hard-shell backpack, the Shield weighs in at 1.2 kilograms, not too heavy for the amount of protection on offer. Side clips let you compress and expand the bag depending on how much stuff you have to carry, and there are also external straps for long items such as tripods.
The Shield will retail for $180 following a successful Kickstarter campaign.
