Do you travel with someone who snores? Or maybe you’re tired of sounding like a freight train yourself and waking up your neighbors while staying in hostels. Either way, Snore Circle might be the perfect solution to help you and others get a better night’s sleep.
Snoring is typically caused by the narrowing of the airway at the back of the throat due to relaxed tissue. When the air tries to flow through, it causes the vocal chords to vibrate, creating the snore. The Snore Circle uses bone conduction and sound recognition technology to identify and stop this process. When it detects snoring, it emits micro sounds and vibrations to combat the noises coming out of you. It forces the pathway to widen for better breathing.
The small device wraps snugly and comfortably around your ear and is made of soft silicone so as not to disturb your rest, even if you sleep on your side. It’s highly portable so it can be used in bed, on a plane or even a park bench. Snore Circle also connects to an app and allows you to choose between 54 settings that determine how much vibration is released while you sleep.
The battery takes two hours to charge and typically lasts for two nights or for up to 16 hours. Developers are currently working out a few kinks, but expect the Snore Circle to go on sale within the next few months. You can check out more information on the device’s Indiegogo page and even contribute to the cause if you’d like.
