Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills

During a recent business trip, I had the pleasure of staying at the Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. I stayed at the property once before, several years ago, and I enjoyed seeing updates since my last visit.

My flight was delayed and I arrived to the hotel slightly later than hoped. I had an afternoon appointment, so I appreciated the front desk attendant’s speedy service. I was in my room in no time. My room on the ninth floor had all of the standard hotel amenities. I particularly enjoyed the rainfall shower.

On my first morning, I dined at Estérel, the property’s new French-Mediterranean restaurant. Instead of the buffet, I ordered from the a la carte menu. With several healthy and hearty dishes, I enjoyed my selection of traditional eggs, bacon and toast with iced coffee and fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice. I then made my way back to my room to do some work before visiting the gym. SoFit is a contemporary space, filled with a variety of fitness equipment. Every machine I wanted to use was available. I enjoyed the complimentary headphones, towels, chilled water and fruit. My only complaint was the location. SoFit is located on the property’s lower level. With poor signage, it was difficult to find.

Following our event that evening, my colleagues and I stopped in the hotel bar Riviera 31, adjacent to Estérel. We enjoyed some tasty late-night bites and caught part of a drag show. Cabaret performances take place weekly in this space.

The Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills is conveniently located across the street from The Beverly Center. Rodeo Drive and other popular landmarks are nearby. It’s an ideal spot for a business or leisure stay.
