You love the movie Dirty Dancing — but did you know you can actually stay at the real-life property where the movie filmed nearly four decades ago?
Mountain Lake Lodge, in Virginia’s Appalachian Mountains, offers a beautiful setting and amazing experiences no matter the time of year you visit, but if you book a stay during select times, you’ll be able to experience the property in full Dirty Dancing fashion.
The property hosts Dirty Dancing weekends throughout the year (most of 2025’s weekends are already booked up, but 2026 weekends are still available to reserve) and packages include themed activities, dance lessons, dance parties and more. Meanwhile, a one-day Dirty Dancing Days Summer Festival is slated for Aug. 16, and includes a full line-up of music, dancing and similar themed activities. You don’t have to book a full stay to attend the festival; tickets are $75.
If you can’t make any of these events, or just want to see the property sooner, you can book the Kellerman’s Film package any time you reserve a two-night stay, which will include exclusive gifts, a special screening of the movie, themed activities and a $200 dining credit.

Are You Ready for the Final Switch to Real ID?
Yesterday, TSA began enforcing new identification guidelines, a change that’s been a long-time coming. Now, travelers must show a REAL ID-compliant, state-issued ID in order to fly on domestic flights, in lieu of a non-compliant driver’s license (some other forms of identification, such as passports, will still be acceptable).
