Greasy food, hot weather and drinking are not a healthy combination, so be sure to follow these safety tips for surviving summer festival season.
Be Well Rested
Festivals are no fun if you’re tired, especially for a multi-day event. If you’re camping out, be sure to have a comfortable space for sleep. Naps between sets are a good way to recharge as long as you set your alarm.
Eat and Drink Right
Water bottles are a must have, especially if you’re drinking. Be sure to refill regularly and stay hydrated in the sun. Also, don’t rely on junk food for energy throughout the day. Pack some high-calorie snacks like fruit and nuts in between meals.
Dress Smart
It’s going to be hot so have a couple changes of light-colored clothing that breathes. Wear sunglasses to protect your eyes and if you like to spend a lot of time in the front row, earplugs aren’t a bad idea either.
Clean Thoroughly
Festivals can be a petri dish, so have hand sanitizer and, in all honesty, some Imodium if you pick up a bug. Try to avoid sharing water bottles and sanitize your hands whenever you visit the bathroom.
