Traveling to Europe on a budget, but don’t want to stay at a budget hotel or hostel? You may consider a home rental through one of the big-brand providers like Airbnb or VRBO.

However, if that still seems too out of your price range, it may not be the case. Instead, you could just be looking in the wrong destinations. According to a recent study from Deluxe Holiday Homes, the average costs for short-term rentals can highly differ across the continent.

The study found Lisbon, Portugal, was the most affordable city in which to rent an entire home, short-term, with an average home rental rate of $254 per night. If you don’t need to rent an entire home and just want to book a room within a private home, though, your best bet is Berlin, Germany, where the average room rental price is $95 per night.

Other top destinations? For full-home rentals, the study named Berlin and Copenhagen, Denmark, as top contenders. For private room rentals, the study named Lisbon again, as well as Barcelona, Spain; Prague, Czech Republic; and Paris, France, all with average private room rental rates of less than $125 per night.
