Trends / Study Abroad

For many drama students, Shakespeare is the be-all, end-all of stage performance. So why not take the opportunity to study from the best at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London?

The Theatre offers numerous courses for both undergraduate and graduate students with an interest in studying the classics. Some classes last only one day while others continue on the length of a semester or year. You’ll experience the world of Hamlet and Othello up close and personal with veteran stage actors and experts on the man himself.

Classes focus on various aspects of Shakespeare, from the historical and contemporary meanings of his plays to the importance of staging and language in connecting with an audience. Some students can even work with their universities to design their own courses.

Students are given access to the on-site libraries as well as Sackler Studios, with some even able to work on the Globe stages as part of the cast in a play. Whether you’re a diehard fan of Shakespeare or simply want a unique way to experience London and its history, studying at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre is a fantastic way to spend a semester abroad.
