With nearly 40 years between the free Cambodian people and the genocide-provoking rule of the Khmer Rouge, there is still work to be done. Corruption prevails, as does human trafficking and poverty. Though the Cambodian people have made great strides and brought in a booming market for tourism, there is a need for long-term aid in the capital city of Phnom Penh and the provinces around the country.
