When you’re on the move, your teeth often take a backseat when it comes to prioritizing. We’ve all been there; squeezing out that last bit of toothpaste onto your frankly worthless and weathered toothbrush. It’s bleak, but you often forget about it once you’ve left the hostel. That is, until you look in the mirror at a fluffy yellow set of gnashers that make you recoil in horror.
But don’t worry, you can keep your teeth looking semi-decent with just a few easy tricks on a budget.
While you should always brush your teeth, morning and night, to combat nasty bacteria, you can prevent them from turning a sickly shade of yellow with some baking soda.
By mixing several teaspoons of baking soda with lemon juice, you can create a potion of sorts to remove that fluff. Wipe your teeth of any excess saliva with a napkin and add the paste to your toothbrush. Brush your teeth as normal and leave the paste upon them for about a minute, before it affects the enamel. Rinse your mouth out with water and spit. Your teeth should have taken on a lighter shade of yellow, but with continued use of this trick, you’ll gradually begin to see them revert to their pearly white shade.
So even when you’ve given up on shaving, washing or cutting your hair, you can still look “traveler chic” with a set of enticingly beautiful white teeth.
