More and more people are choosing to take their job on the road and live while traveling. While this may seem difficult, there are plenty of businesses taking advantage of this new movement and offering their services to help and guide traveling workers along their way. Remote Year plans your itinerary, books your accommodations, takes care of your travel arrangements and plans your activities and events, all while you live alongside other traveling workers.
Remote Year does have a rigorous application process and you do have to commit to a full year. While it’s not required you have a remote job currently, the program encourages you to either start looking for one or work with your current employer to find a way to work remotely. The cost is $3,000 at the time of acceptance to the program, and $2,000 for each month you’re traveling. However, for that cost (which is what some of us would pay in rent anyway), you get all your travel between destinations, all accommodations, a 24-hour workspace and fun activities.
Applications for the 2016 travel session are currently being accepted. The session begins Feb. 1 and takes you to 12 different locations. The itinerary includes Uruguay, Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, Turkey, Czech Republic, Serbia, Croatia, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam.
