The Algonquin Hotel, Autograph Collection Announces Return of Original Round Table

Following a six-month renovation, the original Round Table at The Algonquin Hotel, Autograph Collection returns! Since its beginnings more than 100 years ago, the Round Table has been known for hosting literary greats, including Dorothy Parker, Franklin Adams, Robert Benchley, Edna Ferber, Harold Ross, Robert Sherwood, Alexander Woollcott and more. In 1919, these New York City creatives, self-appointed members of The Vicious Circle, would meet for lunch and be seated at the Round Table. Newly refurbished, the Round Table is once again set to host societal disruptors, tastemakers and more for cultural conversations.

The new era of thought leaders coming to the Round Table this fall include:

• The Rap Dad’s Show, a podcast interview series hosted by Esteban Serrano in collaboration with Sway Calloway
• Soberness with Cat Greenleaf podcast
• Mics of the Round Table series to bring together rappers, songwriters, authors, journalists and other artists
• Intuitive Tarot Card readings from Cardsy B

The Round Table’s return officially kicked off on Sept. 23 with “Celebrating Fearless Women: A Return to the Round Table.” The session featured a partnership with Literati Spirits, author and pop artist Ashley Longshore, business innovator Cindy Gallop, and author Carrie Courogen.
