Housed in 5thStreet Public Market in Eugene, Oregon, is the new The Gordon, an art-centric hotel with 82 rooms. In addition to connecting with artists and makers, The Gordon guests also enjoy local beer, wine and ice cream at check-in; lobby programming; cruiser bikes for exploring; tasting maps for the market; and an art bar, where guests can craft their own creations.

As part of Obie Hospitality’s portfolio, The Gordon joins Inn at the 5th, also in Eugene, and Inn at 500 Capital in Boise, Idaho.

The lobby Art Bar is stocked with supplies, like pencils, watercolors and more. More than 160 pieces of local art from 84 artists adorn the walls, alongside 75 additional pieces created by Obie Hospitality staff. In the lobby sits a large-format digital art installation called “Great Wall,” with changing content spanning two floors and 21 television screens.

Two on-site restaurants will include The Gordon Tavern, serving classic American comfort food, and Carlita’s Rooftop, on the seventh floor, with Mexican small plates. The hotel, part of the 5thStreet Public Market Expansion, is connected to Market Alley, a 200-foot-long, glass-covered walkway with shops, food and more.

The Gordon is also pet-friendly, and offers 3,700 square feet of flexible meeting space.
