Trends / Food & Drink

Philadelphia’s foodie scene gets better and better every year. With a growing lineup of top eateries and bars, there is reason to celebrate and countless ways to do so in 2018.

February

Restaurant week brings diners to Philadelphia for fixed-price menus and tasting dishes at the most sought-after establishments in the city. This month celebrates South Philly during East Passyunk’s Restaurant Week, Feb. 26–March 9, along East Passyunk Avenue.

March

The month of March brings beer, wine and food trucks to the city of Brotherly Love. Celebrating its 12th year, Philly Craft Beer Fest sets up shop on March 3 at South Philadelphia’s Naval Yard with beer stalls and food trucks. Named a Top 10 Beer Festival in America by USA Today, the event is a must for craft beer connoisseurs.

Wine drinkers will enjoy Philadelphia’s Wine Week March 22–29. Enjoy wine pairings, tastings and specials at more than 60 participating restaurants.

April

South Philadelphia has been climbing the ranks as a top spot for foodies and celebrates the food scene during the annual Flavors of the Avenue festival. Taste dishes from more than 24 of the restaurants along the avenue. This all-ages event brings live bands, performers, pop-up shops and entertainment to East Passyunk Avenue April 29.
