Forbes released its third annual ski resort rankings, offering ski and snowboarding enthusiasts a look at what it considers the Top 10 resorts in the whole of North America for 2015.

The ranking method takes into account several factors, such as continuous, lift-serviced vertical, skiable acreage; efficiency of life; town and ambience; terrain; and snow. The list grades snow by analyzing several factors, including the destination’s average quantity seen during a skiing winter (December through March), the standard deviation of the snowfall, the qualify of the snow, the latitude and elevation of the resort and the aspects of the resort’s terrain.

In addition to data, Forbes also employed a team of ZRankings skiers to visit new resorts and get to know resorts not experienced recently.

For 2015, Forbes Top 10 Ski Resorts in North America list includes:

  1. Jackson Hole, Wyo.
  2. Alta, Utah
  3. Whistler-Blackcomb, British Columbia
  4. Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort, Utah
  5. Alyeska, Alaska
  6. Reveltroke, British Columbia
  7. Vail, Colo.
  8. Telluride, Colo.
  9. Grand Targhee, Wyo.
  10. Mammoth Mountain, Calif.
