Top 5 / North America

Universal Studios Florida is unlike many theme parks. The park bases its rides, attractions and entertainment off particular movies and television, inspiring guests to “ride the movies.”

In no particular order, here are five can’t-miss rides at Universal Studios.

Men in Black

We repeat: This is not a drill. It is up to you and five other teammates to take to the streets of New York and zap the aliens who have escaped from their intergalactic prison transport. Keep your eyes open as the aliens zap back and may spin you out of control.

ET

On this magical family ride, guests journey to ET’s home, the Green Planet, to help save it from dying. As you board your flying bicycle and take off over the city, you soar pass the moon and stars. Concluding your journey, you are greeted by ET’s friends and may even receive a special thank you.

Revenge of the Mummy: The Ride

Beware of the curse … as the Mummy has awoken. Try to escape from the tombs or you’ll be trapped forever as the evil Imhotep is freed from his wraps and unleashing his wrath. This coaster is unlike anything else in Universal, as you plunge into darkness and come face to face with the Mummy. The ride catapults up to 45 mph in darkness, plaguing guests with some scary surprises.

Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit

This ride is for the thrill lovers. The jukebox roller coaster allows riders the opportunity to select their own soundtrack for the duration of their ride. The coaster travels 65 mph over 17 stories with many twists and turns along the way.

Despicable Me Minion Mayhem

The infamous Minions are back at it again. Join Gru, his daughters and the Minions for a wild 3D adventure as you are recruited to be part of Gru’s latest scheme. This motion simulator ride doesn’t stop once the ride is over, keeping the laughs coming with an interactive dance party.
