As centrally located as the Louvre, the Musée d’Orsay is a bright and airy museum housed in a former train station. It features some of the most internationally renown pieces found in Paris, including many works from Cézanne, Degas, Gaugin, Manet, Monet, Renoir, van Gogh and many more. Located at 62 rue de Lille.
Located just across the Seine from the Musee d’Orsay, the Musee de l’Orangerie is most famous for its collection of Monet’s Water Lillies, which are hung in round white rooms providing visitors with panoramic views of the large mural-like collection. Located on the Seine side of the Tuileries Gardens.

If you’ve seen enough oil paintings and arts of antiquity, take a break and visit Paris’s museum of contemporary art and photography, the Jeu de Paume. Located in the Tuileries Gardens opposite the Orangerie.
This museum houses some of Auguste Rodin’s most famous sculptures, including The Thinker and The Kiss. Visit the gardens for a unique outdoor museum experience. Located at Hotel Biron, 79 rue de Varenne. ]
This wacky museum, located in the lovely Marais area of Paris, is home to some of the city’s most fun and often interactive pieces of modern art. Located at Place Georges-Pompidou.
