Have you ever wondered what type of devastation a nuclear explosion can leave in its wake? Now is your chance to find out. Solo East Travel is offering tours of Chernobyl, one of the most tragic disasters in the history of our planet.

They offer both one- and two-day tours of the ill-begotten town that include stops at abandoned villages, memorials erected in victims’ honor, the power plant and more. Along the way you’ll always witness military robots in action as they attempt to clean up the radioactive fallout. Chernobyl is often touted as the world’s largest ghost town and previous visitors tend to find it incredibly creepy.
You might even meet self-settlers, people who returned to the small nearby village of Paryshiv and attempt to live in the disaster area.

The tour will provide clean food from outside the area during your trip and you’ll be treated to a two-hour documentary on the ride to Chernobyl to help you learn about what led to the disaster and its impact before you arrive.

Visitors are often wary of traveling to the site of a nuclear explosion, but operators say it’s entirely safe. Travel to Russia is not included in the price of the package and daytrips run between $95 and $119.
