Social media is becoming one of the most popular facets of modern life, with more than 60 percent of Americans using social media. It is no wonder so many new technologies are making their way into social mediums.
With interaction at an all-time high, social mediums look to create a one-of-a-kind experience by providing additional interaction between the customer and the social medium.
Artificial intelligence is now being integrated into social media, not to create posts and interact with users, of course, but to accomplish some of the more rudimentary aspects of social media, as well as creating new features, such as the AI lenses.
With the production of AI comes the invention of AI lenses, new to social mediums. This technology allows the camera to read the user’s face and insert an overlay onto the picture, whether it is snow falling from the sky or bunny ears on the top of your head.
These new AI lenses sparked a revolution in large corporations looking to make a more personal connection with customers by choosing to advertise with these new lenses created not only advertisements, but also for events.
With the implementation of Instagram stories, as well as Facebook Live, it is apparent there will be no shortage of AI filters in the foreseeable future. We have come to the beginning of the age of artificial intelligence, and only more will be developed as time moves on.
