The Carolina Cup is an annual steeplechase horse race held in Camden, S.C., at the Springdale Race Course. Each year the gates open at 9 a.m., and the races begin at 1:30 p.m., with the six races 35 minutes apart.
Secure your tickets to the Cup in advance and only pay $30 per person as opposed to $45 per person at the gates.
Dress attire is sundresses, floppy hats and sandals for girls and button downs, sport coats, bowties, shorts/khakis and loafers for guys. Think Lily Pulitzer. Girls, pick out your outfit ahead of time and be sure to purchase your monogrammed derby hat in time for Cup on MarleyLilly for only $17. While the floppy hats aren’t for everyone, the guys should check out Southern Proper, as they have some snazzy bowties on sale for $40.
Pack your lunch from home or stop by The Everyday Gourmet and pick up a BLT for only $5.50 on your way to the track. If you are still hungry, check out the numerous food truck options offered once at the Springdale Race Course.
Make sure you stop by the gift shop on your way out to collect memorabilia from the day.
