Baseball season starts next month. Check out a Rockies game with cheap $10 and under tickets in the “Rock Pile.” It’s far from the action behind center field, but it’s the fun-packed section of Coors Field.

Head to Washington Park for a pick-up game of volleyball. Washington Park is one of the biggest parks in Denver where on any given weekend in the warm summer months you’ll find lines of volleyball courts and picnics. Denver is a friendly city and you can usually just hop into someone’s game.
Float down the Poudre River. You’ll have to wait for the summer months for this one, but tubing down this river is one of Denver’s charming addictions. Bring a tube of drinks and snacks and meet great people on your float down.
